Congress Introduces National Marijuana Regulation Bill The bill was authored by Democratic rep.
and 2020 presidential candidate
Tulsi Gabbard as well as GOP rep.
Don Young. They have called it the
"Ending Federal Marijuana Prohibition Act of 2019." Should the bill pass, marijuana
would not be legalized in the U.S. Instead, states would implement rules at their own discretion
for handling the drug. Tulsia Gabbard, via press conference Young adds that the bill would allow the growing marijuana market in the U.S. to use federal banks. So far, marijuana has been legalized in 10 states and Washington D.C. It is available to use for
medical purposes in 30 states.
